Pre-Columbian birds in warp substitution. These were re-charted from the pebble weave birds in Laverne Waddington’s book: http://www.patternfish.com/patterns/8348. Woven on a rigid heddle loom with 8/4 carpet warp. (Yes, I know the dark weft shows in the white parts, I’m choosing to think it adds interest rather than admit I’m not pulling tightly enough!) 🙂

I love this loom project. I would certainly consider looming with something that small. Never did finish that other big project.
